Deogad
Fort - Deogad was constructed in 1705 by Konoji Angre.
Town Deogad - its name by the fort Deogad. It is a natural, Safe port. In old times big ships were coming in the port. This village is famous for Pawanchakki near Govt Circuit House & Deogad ( Hapus) mango.
Kunkeshwar : Temple of Shree Kunakeshwar is very important religious spot of Konkani people . The temple is built in Hemadpanthi style before 1100 A.D. There is a big Yatra at ' Mahashivara ' for three days at Kunkeshwar. It is known as, ' Kashi of Konkan'. The temple is situated on a hill near the beach you can watch the beautiful scenery all around.
Vimaleshwar Temple 14 Km from Deogad. The glistening water of the river looks inviting . The temple has a background of greenhills & dense gardens of Coconut & Betetnut. Due to all these things, the temple becomes more attractive. It is a jagrut deity, very famous among devotees. The 5 Statues & two elephants in front of the temple attract the tourists.
Dockyard Waghothan 29 Km from Deogad is famous since British period.
Rameshwar Temple : 29 Km from Deogad, is built by Gangadharpant Bhanu. He engraved this temple in the rock. The bell near the temple is bought here by Anandrao Dhulap.
Padaghar Waterfall - is 27 Km from Deogad. This waterfall flows rapidly through the cracks of rocks of Padaghar. This fall has created scenic pool at the bags. Photographers, tourists & nature lovers attract to this waterfall.
Tambaledag Beach is 27 Km from Deogad Absountely clean, beautiful, calm & quiet. It is free from all kind of polution. There is a temple of Goddess Gajabadevi nearby. You can enjoy swimming, tanning & playing on this beach.
Brahmades Temple is 12 Km from Kharepatan. This temple is built on the high hill near village Korle. The road goes through the dense forest & so you can enjoy the thrill of the forest
Fort Vijaydurg : 31 Km from Deogad. It was construated by Raja Bhoj of Shilahar Dynasty in 1205 A.D. It has a spread over 17 acres of land . After shilahar, the Deogiri yadav ruled over it Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj conquered this fort in 1653. Maharaj extended its vicinity & made it stronger than before. He built Hanuman Mandir in memory of this victory. He gave the responsibility of protecting this fort to brave Kanoji Angre. This fort was never conquered by anyone after that so it was known as ' Rock of Zilbratar ' . You must visit this fort.

Girye Rameshwar - It is an ancient shiv temple, 18 Km from Vijaydurg. It is underground temple. There are swords made 350 years ago in Shivaji period, in the temple.

Kondura Beach - This is a beautiful beach of silvery sand. This beach is near a small village of Vayagani in Vengurla taluka. You have to reach here by a Kachha road - but once you are here - you will enjoy all the beauty of the beach. You must visit this beautiful beach.
